Then afterwards I opted to give choir one more try. Last year I used my dad as an excuse not to participate. But truthfully, he couldn't go early even once a month, and most definitely could not stay longer even though he was such a dear he would have endured and suffered had I asked him to stay. But then my voice is not that good, plus because of my asthma my breathing is not good, and having this hearing loss I know I don't hear the correct tones. Today I wore my dad's hearing aids again so I might hear better as well as sing better. We hadn't gotten very far into the practice when cutie patootie Renae passes up this note for Pam (another new choir attender) and me:
Susan and Pam--And so she did pay attention....but it made us giggle. I think I'll keep the real note in our choir notebooks but I had to blog this just because. I actually do love attending church!
I'm thrilled to see you two must be far enough up the road to perfection to have the clear view that Choir will bring greater enjoyment. By next week you most like will have lost any desire for sin at all! Welcome to the elite. I say this with complete humility! (can you tell I paid attention today?) {heart} Renae.

it was a perfect lesson and a great way to teach something that we've heard over and over...so with a touch of humor and lots of truth it was great way to end the morning...and yes, it was fantastic to see you in choir again...too bad my voice isn't back yet or it would have been even more fun.
sounds fun, would love to hear your class. time for choir-what a luxury, i didn't know you had to have talent to sing in the choir just desire and willingness. have fun, my dear!!!
Soooo.. do you think I could use your rules in my Gospel Doctrine class?? Is it terribly sacreligious to say that I get tired of being fed pablum in some of our meetings. The same phrases that I've heard since I was in "moonbeams" keep coming up, over and over. So the thought of NO Primary answers really appeals to me!
