Last year, as with this year, the youth of the church held an auction.  I donated a month of home made breads and the Young family won it both years.  Sadly they are moving next month to NC and we will miss them.  The 3 oldest children came to me for piano lessons and it's been a delight to have them come.  The finale of the bread from last year was to be a night of scones but we never seemed to get to it til last Sunday (June 10).  And we turned it into a bit of a party.  We made and ate scones and chatted. The children were amazing and they all had so much fun running, eating, tagging, eating, hiding, eating.  I wonder if they've ever eaten so much sugar at one sitting, at night, before bed.  But it was lovely having these people in our home, visiting our backyard and garden.  By the way, this was the first scone little Henry has eaten but it had better not be the last.  See:  Gavin and Garrett Young, Jodi Young, Lauren Olson, Diane Pepin, Jill Pavic, Matt Olson, Marissa and Hank Trefethen, and kids.
