Dining Room is complete

This is how we started. My mom had exquisite taste and everything was also lovely and clean and neat and organized. But her tastes were different than we have finally started to revamp. This picture was taken just as we were starting to tear down the wallpaper. The draperies were removed and taken to be drycleaned. Dawn asked for the crystal chandelier and received it.

Next came the ORDEAL..removing not only the wallpaper but the cement that seemed to have been used to apply it. Thankfully, Jordan and family arrived and put some muscle into the cement. Hillary had located this lovely brushed nickel lighting fixture in her area at a garage sale, no Jordan and Robert painted the ceiling and then

installed the new fixture.

A lot more scrubbing of the walls ensued before Robert could paint...and I will not go into how the tinted primer was the exactly color I wanted but the top paint was not even in the same hue! Another trip back to Sherwin Williams. They had no idea how the primer got to be so intense since that's not what usually happens. But they were able to make us up another gallon of paint that matched it. And .... drum roll please.....tada.....
