international hamburger and pickle month

Just read this and we so do love Hamburgers. Might be an excuse to eat more hamburgers this month. It could be our theme for eating out.

International Hamburger & Pickle Month
There seems to be an observance for just about everything. But who can complain when what you’re celebrating is hamburgers and pickles?

To observe this momentous month right, try celebrating this classic combo the following ways:
• Try another variety. Who said your pickles had to start as cucumbers? Get some sauerkraut, pickled peppers, pickled onions, or pickled tomatoes to change up your burger.
• Make it gourmet. Mix ground 2 pounds ground beef with one packet onion soup mix, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons ketchup, salt, and pepper. Form into patties. While patties cook, make ranch as directed on a ranch packet and fry up some dill pickle spears. Eat the burger with your pickles on the side, using the homemade ranch for dipping.
• Mix it up. Try combining sweet pickle juice or chopped up pickles with your ground beef mix.

I took my aunt to Red Robin and we had lovely hamburgers - mine had cheddar cheese, hers swiss - and endless fries. yum
