Monday, March 9

Saturday was a perfectly lovely day until the temps dipped. Then rain all day on Sunday. But Robert was able to get a lot of work done on Saturday in the yard, including rebuilding Cara's man. Cara gave this to us several Christmases ago and he keeps us company all year long. Periodically the rope rots and his arms/legs fall off and each time we redo him...which is what Robert did on Satufday. Eventually he will have his head planted with perennials again, perhaps even more Pinks. So all summer long he enjoys having his hair. But isn't that a great smiling face.

t Below you will find some of our earliest spring bulbs which are already up. I am sure they have a name...I just don't know what they are called...perhaps something about snowdrops. But whatever their names, I see them, right at the edge of the patio and know that spring is yet to come but nearer each day. Thanks, Mom..for planting these and leaving them as a reminder of you.

I'm pretty sure those are snowdrops - and they are lovely. I wish I had bulbs bursting in Minnesota. Enjoy the warmer weather.
